IEC: WORKSHOP FOR INDUSTRIALIZING COUNTRIES, IEC 73rd General Meeting, October 2009

During the General Meeting in October 2009 in Tel Aviv, Israel, the IEC held a workshop on safe use of electrical energy in mining and in the chemical, oil and gas industries. With industrialization comes the need to use technology and automation in areas where the risk of explosion may exist. Delegates from Affiliate Countries and IEC Members learnt how IEC International Standards and IECEx Conformity Assessment can provide a plateform to promote safety.
